Vegan Soul Food

Tofurkey just got some competition. VegeUSA has made an amazing Vegan Half Chicken that looks and tastes great! Add some salad and curried corn and you have soul food that will put a smile on anyones face. I plan on stuffing my freezer with any vegan product VegeUSA can dream up.

Fair Trade Chocolate Tasting & Film Screening

Today Humboldt Vegetarian Society hosted a free fair trade chocolate tasting and screening of the film 'The Dark Side of Chocolate', which investigated allegations of child slavery in chocolate production on the Ivory Coast. The fair trade chocolate was delicious and the movie was extremely powerful.

Humboldt Varietyvill

Humboldt Varietyvill's first very show. It was a 2 hour variety show, featuring local talent. I had so much fun! Vaudeville is my favorite form of entertainment of all time. As long as they keep putting them on I will be there.
